Two in a row: Gay marriage legal in Vermont. →
This is totally overwhelming, especially just after Iowa’s big news earlier this week: In spite of the fact that Vermont governor Jim Douglas vetoed the bill, the legislature voted to override the veto — saying, “Sorry Governor, but you’re wrong,” and making marriage equality a reality in the state. Vermont is the fourth state in America to lift the gay marriage ban.
