The 2008 Pride Muxtape.

For this month’s Nervous Acid muxtape, I went all gay pride on you. The parade and festival take over New York City this weekend and even though I’m not the kind of guy you’ll see draped in rainbow flags and Marc Jacobs accessories — I’m more of a Paul Smith queen, natch — I make it a point to go out and join the colorful throngs every year. If there’s anything I know about changing people’s attitudes about our community, it’s that visibility is the single most important tool we have. Gay people are your fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, friends, co-workers, entertainers, and musical heroes — this muxtape is for them. These are twelve (or more) queer artists that inspire me everyday: Get into it.
