DOWNLOAD | THE NERVOUS ACID MIXCAST Volume 1, Episode 1, January 2010 Well there, I finally did it. After a year of threatening to do this, the first episode of the Nervous Acid Mixcast is finally available for download. This did not come easy, of course. The original plan was to share the show with my good friend Trevor Kelley, and we actually recorded two different episodes together. The problem? He lives in Los Angeles, so we had to use Skype — and accept all of its associated technical complications — in order to do it. Unfortunately, the raw audio was too unpredictable and varied in quality and I had to scrap the shows altogether. But I didn’t want to give up. So I sat behind a microphone by myself with a glass of water and gave it a go. This is the debut result. Truthfully? It was fun. So I plan to keep going on a monthly schedule, beginning with this one, in which I look at some of the best new music of 2010 so far — and throw in the seminal acid house classic that this fine website was named after.
